1. If this is a first business the sales plan will be like a guide to help you going. You can adjust it later once you have a clear picture of the sales and the expenses incurred. For ongoing businesses, make a list of all the monthly expenses including salaries if you have employees.
2. The next step is to write a clear figure of how much money you would like to make in a year. It is good to be realistic when it comes to expectations. 3. Come up with ways to improve your marketing strategies. The more methods you come up with, the better. Creativity is required in this step.
4. Pick the methods you are most comfortable with and incorporate them into your marketing plan. Figure out your best customers and try out the methods one at a time and keep records for about a year. After that, you can pick the methods with that are most effective.
5. Analyze the sales for a year, if you are comfortable with the outcome, then the approach has worked.
